Dr Serne Kemp is a Gold Coast local and Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. After many years working across rural, remote and regional Australia, including several years in the remote Northern Territory, he has returned home to the Gold Coast to raise his young family.
Dr Kemp has a broad and varied medical background, having worked as a General Practitioner, Rural Generalist, emergency doctor, and senior hospital medical leader. His experience across different communities has shaped a practical, thorough, and patient-centred approach to medicine.
With a strong interest in skin cancer medicine and additional training in dermoscopy and skin cancer management, Dr Kemp understands the importance of skin health in the Australian lifestyle. His focus is on careful skin checks, early detection, clear communication, and practical, evidence-based management of skin cancer.
